Abstract
Thyroidinum is known as a significant clinical medicine, often used as an adjuvant to a deeper similimum (prescribed for the totality of symptoms) in thyroid conditions. Most, if not all nosodes and sarcodes are used as complementary remedies but at other times as the specific medicine for the case. The broader understanding needed for a ‘totality’ prescription is not well understood in the case of Thyroidinum. This article discusses the characteristics of this medicine on the mental and emotional plane. In addition, it explains how these indications can be understood through the application of the principal of ‘crystal structure’, a concept which describes the foundational elements of characteristic behaviours as they appear in medicines.
