Abstract

This case study examines the management of a 9-year old boy diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Level 2 with a homeopathic approach. The child presented with significant challenges in social communication, repetitive behaviours, and sensory sensitivities. Following a comprehensive assessment of the child’s emotional and behavioural profile, a tailored homeopathic plan was developed, focusing on individualised remedies. The study documents the interventions over a 17-month period, including regular consultations with the family to monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed. Notable improvements were observed in the child’s social interactions, sensitivities, reduced anxiety levels, and enhanced emotional expression. Parent feedback indicated a marked decrease in behavioural outbursts and an increase in the child’s compliance and engagement with peers. This case highlights the potential of homeopathy as a complementary approach in managing ASD, emphasising the importance of holistic care that considers the child’s unique experiences and challenges. Further research is warranted to explore the efficacy and mechanisms of homeopathic treatment in the context of autism spectrum disorders.
