Abstract
Careful, methodical and rational homeopathic provings enable elucidation of a true materia medica. Whilst homeopaths have a great range of medicines at their disposal and new medicines continue to be proven, modern day pathogenetic trials of original, Hahnemannian medicines offer new insights into well-used medicines, whilst confirming and substantiating known symptomatology.
This paper examines the experiences of proving supervisors whilst conducting a proving of Chamomilla in a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled homeopathic pathogenetic trial at Endeavour College, Melbourne campus. Methodology of the trial is briefly outlined, followed by an overview of the substance, analysis of symptoms in context with the original Hahnemannian proving, and a discussion of the collective experiences of proving supervisors.
