Abstract

Addressing the functions of corticotropin in the endocrine system of the body.

In homeopathic terms, the issue of the sarcode group is all-encompassing; it can be seen on all levels in all areas of the patient’s life. The patient will express a strong need to have a useful function in life; to be purposeful, everything must be orderly and controlled. As a hormone, corticotropin is very significant in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis with wide-reaching effects throughout the body. Corticotropinum as a homeopathic medicine is useful for a patient who expresses as a sarcode and suffers from extremely changeable moods ranging from mania to severe melancholy. The physical symptoms are numerous and can be seen on all levels and in all of the body’s systems.
