South Australia’s unregistered ‘Homœopathists’ of 1886

Abstract

The 1886 edition of The Australasian Medical Directory and Handbook contained an additional feature – a List of Unregistered Practitioners. This article is the result of five years of research aimed at finding more information about several people from South Australia who were included in the List as ‘Homœopathists’. Some possible reasons for the creation of the list are considered.
