Selling a practice

Once a practitioner-patient relationship is established, particularly over a long period of time, a patient becomes used to both you and your unique approach to practising homeopathy.

If you are intending to sell your practice it is important to factor this into finding your replacement. For example, if you practise along a more classical approach, then ideally the person who succeeds you in your practice would need to use a similar approach, especially when dealing with your long-term patients.

A defined period of hand-over, where the new homeopath/practice owner sits in with you in your clinic and familiarises themselves with not only your patient management approach but also the running of the day-to-day business, may be an effective way to provide a smooth transition.
