Abstract
Desmodium elegans is a medicinal plant commonly used for the treatment of jaundice, fever, paralysis, oedema, asthma, cold, constipation, cough, convulsion, cholecystolithiasis and urolithiasis in its native Bhutan. A homeopathic proving unveiled a medicine useful for the treatment of heavy depression, pain in both, but particularly the right, scapulae, and gallstones. It will prove a valuable medicine in liver pathology, and in cases of paralysis – a symptom it shares with its relative Lathyrus.
