Session 1 – Is the development of diseases random and isolated?

• A look into the phenomena of disease development in a person’s life
• Contrast between the understanding in conventional medicine and in homeopathy
• Immunological concepts as related to today’s health scenario with support of latest research in immunology and genetics/epigenetics
• ‘The Continuum Theory’ of Prof Vithoulkas and its relevance to understanding of health status of a person
• Role of inflammation in our defense mechanism and the onset of chronic disease
• Case examples are used to illustrate the above phenomena

Session 2 – Classical Homoeopathy – why stick to rules?

• The need for rules and laws in science
• Examples of what happens when deviating from rules
• Impact of individual practitioners’ choice on global status of homeopathy
• Where do we go wrong? Case examples – how to ensure a correct method of practice?
• What does correct practice add? Research papers from IACH illustrate how severe pathologies are treated with classical homeopathy

About the presenter

Dr Seema Mahesh has been in homeopathic practice for over 20 years. She completed her homeopathic medical education at Rajiv Gandhi University and followed on with a diploma from the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy (IACH) in Greece.

Dr Mahesh has been continuously involved in homeopathic research since graduating and has been serving as the Head of the Scientific Committee of IACH for over five years. She is a research scholar at Taylor’s University School of Medicine, Malaysia where she trained in research methodologies and is currently conducting research under the supervision of the Cochrane trainer for systematic reviews in Malaysia. Dr Mahesh has 19 peer reviewed articles published in both complementary and conventional medicine journals.

Dr Mahesh has presented research posters at many conferences. She lectures extensively around the world and has been teaching IACH e-learning students since 2008.
