About the presenter

Richard Pitt has been practising and teaching homeopathic medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1991. He originally trained and practised homeopathy in England from 1984 and also studied in Greece and India. He has taught homeopathy at different homeopathic schools throughout North America and the UK and was the Director of the Pacific Academy of Homeopathy in San Francisco from 1996 to 2008. He was the President of the Council for Homeopathic Certification for 5 years and on the board for 17 years. Richard was also on the board of the California Health Freedom Coalition which helped pass landmark health freedom legislation in California.

Richard is the Editor of the California Homeopath, an online homeopathic journal, and has written a number of books, including the homoeopathic textbook Comparative Materia Medica, Integrating New and Old Remedies.

Between 2009 and 2013 he spent time living and working in Ghana, West Africa, and Malawi, establishing homeopathy in rural areas, developing homeopathic training programs and teaching local students. Since 2013 he has been an advisor to the Kenya School for Integrated Medicine and is now the educational director of the school.
