Abstract

The College of Natural Health and Homeopathy (CNHH) has a long history of using technology to advance teaching. From distance learning via video tapes and DVDs, to a fully online program, technology has improved accessibility for students in more remote areas or those who cannot attend in-person courses for other reasons. However, technology advances rapidly, and AI will have an impact on how we teach and how learners engage with homeopathic education. While AI-assisted technology is not currently in use at CNHH, discussions are ongoing among academic staff regarding potential applications. As learning platforms evolve, we will explore AI-driven tools that align with our educational objectives and enhance learning and program delivery. As homeopathic educators, we are committed to supporting our students in their learning journey to become competent and thriving homeopaths. As such, we review our current practice, and the relevance of our assessment tools periodically. We need to ensure we are assessing the unique skills and capabilities that will make students effective practitioners, and that we are enabling them to practice in the real world. Increasingly, the world is incorporating AI technology into everyday use, and the homeopathy profession, as well as education providers need to proactively discuss and consider how we engage with AI.
