Abstract

Homeopathic science is known to be gentle and holistic. In the current era, despite wide acceptability and popularity, homeopathy is considered  controversial. Among the more controversial concepts is the method of prescribing. Medical doctors and homeopaths alike share confusion about  prescribing. Explanations regarding the ideal prescription were among the favourite points of discussion for pioneer homeopaths. In case  management and prescribing, the number of medicines prescribed frequently generates arguments among homeopaths. Explanations and  contradictory statements make the concept difficult, especially for new practitioners. In this article, I explore polypharmacy and monopharmacy in detail.

Keywords: Homeopathy, polypharmacy, alternating medicines, successive medicines.
