Abstract
On April 14, 2025, Australian Minister for Health and Aged Care, Mark Butler, announced that seven natural therapies will be reinstated for coverage under private health insurance. Homeopathy, aromatherapy, and reflexology, amongst others, were not recommended for re-inclusion, as for these therapies, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) concluded there was insufficient evidence of effectiveness to warrant it.
