Homeopathy to the rescue

Every mother’s nightmare is hearing the recognisable scream of her child after he or she falls off the equipment at the playground. Your  heart seems to stop a beat as you dash like superwoman to their aid.

My four-year-old boy had clearly done some damage to his arm after falling off the slide — not because of any visible evidence of a break but  because he was obviously in a lot of pain. As I prepared to whisk him to the nearest hospital, I gave him a couple of doses of a homœopathic  medicine typically used in such traumatic situations.

The effect was immediate. He calmed down completely, the sobbing stopped and it actually looked like he was OK. I decided to take him to the  hospital anyway, just for peace of mind.

The emergency room doctor was a little surprised that the X-ray showed a greenstick fracture, given that my four-year-old appeared to be fine and  had not even needed any painkillers. The homeopathic medicine appeared to have really helped. Since then, our homeopathic first-aid kit comes  with us to every sporting event as our first port of call for sprains, strains, fractures, wounds and other injuries.

We have experienced first hand the benefits of homeopathic remedies in first-aid situations. Studies also highlight the usefulness of the medicine we  used for my son for the initial treatment of trauma, bumps and bruises, and even for assisting with muscle recovery in marathon runners.
