Abstract
The Mosquito was one of the remedies that was proved by Kent but it has not been extensively used. This reflects the usage of many remedies from the insect world. A few, like Cantharis and Apis, are extensively used but even they are usually used in acute situations and not fully understood at a deeper level. There is slowly dawning an understanding that the insects are an important group of remedies. Perhaps they have not been needed so much in the past or perhaps we have not been in a place to understand them; only now do we seem to be able to understand their importance and find ways to relate them to our current situation. In recent years there have been extensive provings of at least a dozen insect remedies which not only give us an accessible understanding of the remedies themselves but have allowed us to begin forming a picture of the group as a whole and the ways in which we might be able to differentiate between them.
