The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has identified certain therapeutic goods such as complementary medicines or disinfectants being inappropriately promoted for the prevention or treatment of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infections in Australia.

Exhaustive investigations into the NHMRC’s review have raised doubts whether the NHMRC conducted ethical, impartial, transparent and ‘rigorous’ reviews of the evidence on homeopathy and other natural therapies, using ‘standardised, accepted methods’ as claimed.
Following the NHMRC’s publication, on 11 March 2015, of its ‘Information Paper Evidence on the effectiveness of homeopathy for treating health conditions’ and ‘Statement on Homeopathy’ the AHA issued an open letter / media release to Professor Warrick Anderson, CEO of the NHMRC.
