A Plutonium nitricum case –
Alternating moods: if I am not connected I feel safer

Similia Vol 30 No 2 – December 2018

Author: Liz Lalor

Abstract

This is a bipolar disorder case. The patient has been diagnosed with Cyclothymia. Cyclothymia is a milder form of bipolar disorder which involves less  severe mood swings. People with this form alternate between hypomania, and mild depression. The ‘mood swings’ between mania and depression can be so quick that it is not unusual to alternate between mania and depression every half hour. The majority of patients with Cyclothymia will progress  to Bipolar disorder. The action of the similimum in this Plutonium case was reflected in the patient being able to stop her mood swings and allow  herself to feel connected to herself and others’ feelings.

Keywords: Destruction, Plutonium nitricum, constitutional remedy, destruction of persona.
