2017 – Release the First Report!

The international homeopathic community is as outraged as Australian homeopaths about the first report on homeopathy, commissioned by the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) in 2012, being hidden from the public. The number of supporting signatures is approaching 75,000.

Join the international campaign demanding that the first report on homeopathy, commissioned by the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) in 2012, be released. The homeoopathic profession in Australia and overseas is still dealing with the fall-out following the National Health & Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Information Paper ‘Evidence on the effectiveness of homeopathy for treating health conditions’, published 11 March 2015, and the NHMRC’s ‘Statement on Homeopathy’, published on the same date.Exhaustive investigations into the NHMRC’s review have raised doubts whether the NHMRC conducted ethical, impartial, transparent and ‘rigorous’ reviews of the evidence on homeopathy and other natural therapies, using ‘standardised, accepted methods’ as claimed.

A complaint about the NHMRC report on homeopathy was submitted to the Commonwealth Ombudsman in August 2016 and its verdict is expected before the end of this year.
